We missed you at the studio, and we can't wait to see you soon.

Teacher Training:
Foundations Workshop
We have had an outpouring of people who would like to teach at our studio! I am a firm believer that you need to take classes for a while before you are ready to teach. But when that time comes, we want to support you in your journey! An organic model has been emerging at our studio, where we are connecting experienced teachers with new teachers to help them build confidence and find their voice.
We have designed a Teacher Training: Foundations Workshop for those who want to learn the fundamentals of being a fitness instructor at Fitness on High. You can sign up for one Saturday in April (5 hour commitment) for $320... to gain a certificate of completion, a class sequence that you can practice with friends and other instructors at the studio, and an individualized coaching plan to help you become ready to teach at Fitness on High. You will get to meet some of our instructors and hear the vision for our studio.
Once you are ready to teach and be added to the schedule, $120 of your investment will be applied towards your personal liability insurance as an instructor (which is required to teach at our studio). We will only accept 10 people each Saturday, and we are trusting the process that you will only apply if you feel called to help others reach their highest potential through Fitness on High. Take the time to meditate on this and decide if its time for you to take this next step in your own journey...
We would like for all of our teachers in training to be mentored by our experienced teachers and have plenty of time to practice before being placed on the schedule. Our teaching model at Fitness on High is emerging as evolving (as a new studio) but we are committed to being inclusive and creating opportunities for you to grow while you are here in Oxford.
There is a quote in the Tao Te Ching that says: "When the student is ready the teacher will appear. When the student is truly ready... The teacher will Disappear."
So trust the process... at some point you will be ready to step into a teaching role. But until then... I hope to see you taking classes at the studio.

New Classes Added!
Maggie Cantwell, personal trainer, will be teaching Complete Body Sculpt every Wednesday in April at 3:30pm for those who want to kick start their fitness journey!
Cade Benjamin will be teaching Strength Flow: Bodyweight Calisthenics every Wednesday at 6:45pm for those interested learning the fundamentals towards handstands and other types of inversions.

Understanding Infrared Heat
Our heated studio has four infrared heaters near the ceiling. The main difference with infrared is how they use heat, you will get all of the relaxation and health benefits but at a much more comfortable temperature.
These worked amazing when we had them installed... My body felt buzzed after teaching. However, we blew a fuse and our electrician had to order a part and is coming in this week to fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience, but Thank YOU for your patience as we troubleshoot with space heaters and our HVAC system, which we know just isn't the same...
Traditionally studios heat the air and the hot air heats the user. In contrast, our infrared heaters use advanced therapy to promote heat generation in the body with only a small percentage of the air is heated. This is the same type of heat as produced by the sun and our bodies. The radiant heat will penetrate deep below the skin producing a gentle warming inside the body. The Infrared heat will leave you feeling invigorated, not depleted.
The room is "heated" now and we will change the name back to "hot" in our scheduling once we have our infrared studio working at 💯 Spread the word ❤️
